Detailed Storyline (Shrink Panic)

• Phase 0 - Introduction/context (not shown in the comic but explained)
  James (181 cm / 5'11") and Jill (162 cm / 5'4") are colleagues working as meteorologists for a national television channel. The current weather man has just retired, and the position has been assigned to Jill, making her the new weather girl. The problem is that James has been working there much longer than Jill, and he wanted the job himself. His jealousy leads him to purchase a mysterious substance on the black market. According to the seller, it is a unique sample of a highly secretive experimental product stolen from a confidential laboratory of a pharmaceutical giant. This substance is said to cause rapid growth or shrinking in any living being that consumes it.

• Phase 1 - Jill prepares before the show, first shrink (163 pics)
  Jill is surrounded by her team as they do her makeup and prepare her for the live broadcast. They encourage her and are on her side. She is well-loved by everyone here.. Everyone except James who waits for the team to leave Jill alone for a while so he can talk to her. They argue. At one point, when she is no longer watching her coffee, James discreetly pours a small amount of the mysterious substance into it before walking away. Unaware of what just happened, Jill drinks half of her coffee. Five minutes later, while rereading her script alone on the TV set, she starts shrinking slowly. Her feet become a little too small for her high heels, and her dress appears longer on her. Jill feels something strange but can't quite pinpoint what it is. She notices an empty space between the back of her shoes and her heels, even though her feet are supposed to fit perfectly inside them.. She thinks her shoes have expanded due to the heat. Still unaware of the changes on her body, she finishes the rest of her coffee. Jill is now a small woman, standing at 148 cm (4'10").

• Phase 2 - The weather girl’s secret crisis (175 pics)
  When Emmanuelle returns, the two women quickly realize that something is wrong.. Their height difference seems too pronounced. Then, Jill suddenly understands with shock, she has shrunk. There is no way she can present the weather like this, in what she considers a humiliating state, in front of millions of viewers who will be seeing her for the first time. Panicked, she decides to ask Emmanuelle to replace her on air while she figures out a solution. But just as she makes this decision, the production team returns to the set. Terrified, Jill rushes behind a column to avoid being seen. Emmanuelle, immediately grasping the severity of the situation, steps in to cover for her. She tells the team that Jill had to leave urgently and that she will take over the broadcast in her place. This role comes naturally to her: being an assistant, she is also responsible for stepping in as a substitute presenter when needed. Having done it several times before, she is always prepared with the day's weather report, just in case. It's part of her job, she is paid for it. Meanwhile, hidden backstage, Jill continues to shrink, powerless to stop it. When the show is over and everyone has left, Emmanuelle rushes to find her friend and discovers the full extent of the disaster.. Jill is now only 129 cm (4’3”) tall.

• Phase 3 - A dilemma of size (105 pics)
  Emmanuelle accompanies Jill to the dressing room so she can retrieve her phone and call a doctor. But as she rummages through her bag, she finds nothing. Her heart starts pounding. Where could it be? Maybe she left it in her car.. Emmanuelle, who doesn’t have her own phone with her either, grabs Jill’s keys and heads out to fetch it. But what they don’t know is that James has already planned everything. He stole Jill’s phone, making sure she wouldn’t be able to call for help. Now alone, Jill finds herself staring at her reflection in the mirror. Her dress is loose, barely clinging to her shoulders. A terrifying thought flashes through her mind: what if she’s not just shrinking? Have her proportions changed too? Panic sets in as she quickly unbuttons part of her dress to check.. Her breath catches.. But everything seems to be in place, at the right size. James suddenly enters the room and Jill jumps. A cold smile on his face, he confesses everything: he is the one responsible for her shrinking, and he will only restore her size on one condition.. She must resign from her position as the weather girl. Jill is still 129 cm (4’3”) tall.
